Bill Goodyear Celebrates 50 Years of Service

 Bill started working at Magneto in the summer of 1970. Bill worked in the front office handling customer service calls, selling motors and dispatching the two truck drivers. He was always a tireless employee doing whatever it took to keep the customer happy. Many times he would type up the order go to the supplier and then deliver the motor himself. Because he was so good with the customers he soon joined the ranks of veteran salesmen John Gollop and Gord Hill and became an outside rep for the company.

Bill was a natural right from the beginning and quickly became successful because he already knew the customers. He had become their friend and they knew they could count on him.

Back then and even to this day when Bill visits customers he often starts the sales call with a joke. Ive been out with Bill and they will be waiting for the joke of the day. He never disappoints and they laugh out loud even if they have heard it before.

Bill found a career in the motor business here at Magneto. He also met and found his wife Chris here.She was our receptionist in the 1980”s and they have been married 37 years!!!

Bill we congratulate you on 50 years of service. We feel very fortunate that you chose Magneto to be your work family. We truly appreciate your loyalty, dedication and sense of humour.
